Ships Have Sailed, an alternative pop-rock duo hailing from Los Angeles, debuted their first EP, Somedayin
2014, which gained heavy airplay on College, NPR, and commercial radio
in the US and Canada. Its success inspired the band to tour the East
Coast, during which time they began piecing together their first
full-length album, Moodswings.
The LP veered away from today’s
single-driven musical climate with a well-rounded, full-length story
intended to be heard from the beginning to the end; with a theme that
echoes the band’s name, a positive spin on the phrase “That ship has
sailed,” as it meditates on change’s ability to impact one’s life at any
moment.

Flipagram Adds More Than 1,000 "Verified" Musical Artists In 2015

Flipagram (www.Flipagram.com), the personal video story app and network, today announced that more than 1,000 signed musical artists become "Flipagram Verified" users of the service in 2015. Over 800 of these artists joined in the second half of the year, after Flipagram had closed licensing deals with all major labels including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music, Merlin and The Orchard -- and music publishers, including Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, BMG, and the NMPA. These landmark music deals allow Flipagram users to include up to 60 seconds of free music from millions of song previews as the soundtrack of their Flipagram personal video stories (Flips).
"People are taking more and more photos and videos with their phones, increasingly choosing to create Flips and tell a whole video story set to music, rather than sharing just a single silent moment or fleeting video highlight," said Farhad Mohit co-founder and CEO of Flipagram. "We're thrilled that so many influential musicians are embracing Flipagram as the way to share their personal video stories and encouraging our tens of millions of users to do more of the same."
In addition to sharing their own Flips with fans, Verified Artists on Flipagram enjoy many additional benefits including, increased promotion of their music throughout the app, customized outlinks, the ability to create unique hashtag campaigns, and badged interactions that encourage users to create more of the kinds of Flipagrams that artists like.

Originally hailing from the NYC music scene, Laura Berman tours extensively nationwide and has reached acclaim for her soul-touching vocal power and accessible yet poetic songwriting style.
Laura is called toward an inward journey, and connecting with others through her music and voice, and makes her life work about healing, expression and expansiveness. She has performed alongside best-selling authors Neale Donald Walsch and Marianne Williamson as well as at the renowned Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles.
While in NYC, Laura was a session singer as well as a touring singer/songwriter, sang back up for Grammy Award Winner, Enya, on the David Letterman show, and was a featured vocalist in the children's feature film release, "Clifford's Really Big Movie" and accompanying Soundtrack. She now calls the Pacific NW her home, with her husband, songwriter and producer Craig Benelli.
Laura's latest CD release, "Everything in Between" speaks to many dimensions of a life journey, and is available now via iTunes and CD Baby.
