Blending folk-inspired acoustic textures with her signature emotive delivery, "Nothing
Feels Real" is a beautifully introspective ballad that explores the surreal nature of loss
and transformation. The track’s delicate acoustic guitars and subtle electronic elements
create a dreamlike atmosphere, mirroring the feeling of uncertainty that comes with
change. Stripped down and deeply personal, the song allows JES’s unmistakable voice
to take center stage, delivering each lyric with raw, unfiltered honesty.
“The song came from that strange feeling of disconnection, when something changes in
your life so suddenly that you can’t quite process it,” JES shares. “I wanted to capture
that moment when you’re standing still, watching the world move around you, but
nothing feels real.”
